Squadron Leader Jon Pullen (Project Lead) is an Engineering Officer in the Royal Air Force currently working in the ATLAS PT at RAF Brize Norton. Jon is one of the co-founders of the project and the project leader having previous experience leading the team that produced the “Food for Heroes” book that sold 25,000 copies in 2009. A keen sportsman and musician, Jon lives with his family in Warwickshire.
Project co-producer and history lead, Flight Lieutenant Crispin Chapple is a Pilot in the Royal Air Force of some 20 years’ experience. Having flown C-130K Hercules at RAF Lyneham, and HS-125 at RAF Northolt, he now flies the RAF’s newest transport aircraft, the Airbus A400M ‘Atlas’. He is currently serving on No. 70 Squadron at RAF Brize Norton, soon to move across to 206(R)Squadron to undertake Test and Evaluation. Crispin is one of the two co-founders of the project and lives in Wiltshire.
Mr Stu Harmer (Head Chef) works for ISS as the Senior Executive Chef for Healthcare, Education, Authorities and Defence responsible for the development of food and hospitality including the RAF Catering, Retail and Leisure contract. An ex RAF Flight Sergeant and competition Chef, he has won the RAF Chef of the Year award numerous times, Combined Services Chef of the Year and British Meat Military Chef of the Year.
Sergeant Nige Green is the Senior Non-Commissioned Officer in charge of the Joint Aerial Delivery Test Evaluation Unit (JADTEU) Photographic Section at RAF Brize Norton. Nige manages the team of RAF photographers who support the project capturing professional images of the freshly prepared dishes for inclusion in the book.
